Duane Whichman-Evans is an accomplished creative professional with extensive experience across fashion, beauty, modelling, performing arts, and major events.

He is currently Festival Director in the Major Events team at Auckland Council Events, having previously directed the Auckland Diwali Festival and currently working on the Auckland Lantern Festival.

An award-winning hair stylist, makeup artist, model, actor, and singer, Duane has worked with leading fashion figures, contributed to NZ Fashion Week 2023, taught deportment at leading New Zealand model agencies, and styled for several NZ magazines.

He is also a performer, writer, director, producer, styling and image consultant, menswear fashion label owner, and has produced numerous fashion shows, including Bridal Fashion Week, Māori and Pacific fashion shows, and a recent show for designer Liz Mitchell.
